Motion: To sponsor the Community Services Crew for $100 to take part in the Enbridge Canoe for Kids. The purpose of the Enbridge Canoe for Kids is to send 80 under-privileged kids to a two week camp on Christie Lake (http://www.christielakekids.com/). Moved by Gisèle Loiselle-Branch, seconded by Nancy Seaby, carried.
Fred McLennan: There will be an public meeting on Thursday May 8 at the Hellenic Community Centre to discuss the Moffat Farm. The issue is development of the Farm.
Nancy Seaby reported that delivery of the Hunt Club News is not consistent and many homes are being missed.
Maria McRea: There will be a meeting on May 14 at 19:00 to discuss the People Services Facility Study. The Study reports on the community centres in Ottawa, the need for major additions and for long term funding. The existing Hunt Club/Riverside Community Centre is too small. The Community Services Centre will run Camp Spirit this summer. Camp Spirit is a day camp for children ages 6 to 12. For more information call the Services Centre at 247-1600.
Alan Asselstine: There is a proposal for an in-fill project at the south-east corner of Hunt Club and Downpatrick Roads. The project consists of ten units: six freehold townhouses and four semi-detached units. The proposal requires a zoning amendment.
